He enlisted in Hull. Formerly 10678, E. Yorkshire Regt. Transferred to the 60th Coy, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). Accidentally killed, on 01/02/1917, aged 26.
Buried at Meaulte Military cemetery, France.
