Oliver, James Henry

Born Miles Platting, Manchester, 1895. Son of Elizabeth Jane Lee (1855-1932)and John Henry Oliver (1857-1940), of 18, Cotton Terrace, Barnsley Street, Hull (War Pension Address). He worked as a Dock Labourer and boarded at 4 Mortlock Villas, Estcourt Street, Hull (1911 Census)

Enlisted at Manchester. Served in the 13th Manchester Regiment. Killed in action, on 28/04/1917, aged 22. Commemorated on the Dorian Memorial, Greece. His army effects were left to his father, John.
