Page, James Louis

Born Hull, 1885. Son of James Page (1842-1921) and Louisa Robins (1848-1901), of 45, Salthouse Lane, Hull (1911 census).

On 08 Mar 1912, he resided at 19, Salem Street, Bradford, Yorkshire. He was a Printer by Trade and Member of the United Ancient Order of Druids.

Enlisted in the Hull Pals, on 09/02/1915. Served as Corporal, 10th East Yorkshire Regiment, in Egypt and France. Wounded at the Somme, in July 1916 and march 1918. Received gunshot wounds, to head, neck, right arm and right shoulder. Transferred to the 3rd EYR. Discharged on 26/02/1919. Died of at Hull Royal Infirmary of Tonsilitis Stornatitis-Cellulitus of neck and Operation – heart failure on 23/04/1920, aged 35.

Married at Bradford, on 9/3/1912/ He left widow, Beatrice Ellen Dickinson (1890-1929), at 9, Albert Avenue, Rhodes street, Hull (Army address) and 3, Promenade Place. Vane Street, Hull (war pension address). They had two children, Barbara Lily and James Leo.
