Watts, James Morley

Born Alfreton, Derbyshire, 1884. Eldest child of John James Watts and Alice Stocks Watts, of 265, Alliance Avenue, Hull (1911 Census). he had eight brothers and one sister. He was a Loc Engine Fitter and “Very Good” character.

Husband of Jane (born 24/11/1884), at 3, Ash Grove, De La Pole Avenue, Hull (War Pension address). they had two children, James Robert and Gladys May.

He enlisted on 18 Feb 1915. Served as a Sapper, in the East Riding Fortress & search Light Company, No: 2, Royal Engineers. Discharged from the army, due to the strain of military service, on 21 Aug 1917. He died of Influenza & Broncho Phneumonia, on 24/06/1918, aged 33.

His army effects were left to his widow, Jane.

His brothers, Wilfred, 64405, RFA; George Gerald, 2880, North Bn Div Sig Coy Royal Engineers; and Eric Hayes Watts, 12487, EYR also served in WW1.
