Born Hull, 1879. Son of Richard and Elizabeth Wray, of 10, Albion Terrace, Walmsley Street, Hull He had two brother and two sisters.
Married at Hull in 1901. Husband of Florence Mary Horracks Wray, of 2, St Davids Terrace, Scarborough Street, Hull (1911 Census) and 4 Goodwin Street, Hull (War Pension address). He was a wood and stone labourer. He had four daughters and two sons.
Enlisted at Hull. Joined the Hull Pals. Transferred to the 197th POW Labour Corps. Discharged on 27 Mar 1919.
Died of abdomunal abcess and Cardiac exhaustion 100% attributed to his war service. Died at Hull, on 15 May 1920, aged 42
