Clark, Tom

Born Hull, 1883. Second son of Thomas Clark (1851-1914) and Catherine Hudson (1856-1897). He had three brothers and four sisters.

Married at Hull, in 1904. Husband of Lily Pounder Clark at 23 Christopher Street, Hull (1911 Census), 18, Marfleet Terrace, Craven Street, Hull and 6, Villa Terrace, Barnsley Street, Hull (1921 Census and war Pension address). They had three sons and two daughters. He was a Dock Labourer, employed by Royal Mail Steamboat Co, Wench Driving

Enlisted at Hull, on 4/1/1915. Served in the 12th East Yorkshire Regiment (Hull Pals) in Egypt and France. Transferred to the 11th East Yorkshire Regiment. Discharged on 12/10/1918. Awarded the Silver War Badge (No: B28890). Died at Hull in 1929, aged 46.

His younger brother, Private, William Jackson Clark, also served in the 12th EYR and was killed in action, on 16 Aug 1916, aged 26. He is buried at Le Touret Military Cemetery, France.
