He enlisted at Hull, on 12/10/1914. Served with the 3rd and 9th EYR. Discharged as physically unfit (bad cough & shortness of breath), on 07/01/1916. He had served in the army for 1 year and 88 days. Died of Angina, 15 Apr 1917, aged 59.
