BORN HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA, 30/05/1866. A SAILOR AND SEAMAN. HUSBAND OF CATHERINE ANDERSON, WHO LIVED A 6 ALBION PLACE, WILLIAM STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS) AND AT THIS NAVY ADDRESS. THEY HAD TWO SONS, WILLIAM AND ALFRED.

HE ENLISTED IN THE ROYAL NAVY RESERVE, AS AN ABLE SEAMAN. DIED OF DISEASE ON 13TH APRIL 1915.

HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE ST CHARLES BORROMEO CATHOLIC CHURCH MEMORIAL, JARRETT STREET, HULL.
HIS ELDEST SON, ABLE SEAMAN, WILLIAM OLIVER ANDERSON, WAS LOST AT SEA, ON THE ” THESEUS II”, ON 28/08/1919, AGED 22, DURING THE RUSSIAN EXPEDITION.
