Ashbridge, John Percival Tennison (Percy)

BORN BEVERLEY 1891. KNOWN AS PERCY. SON OF JOHN EDWARD ASHBRIDGE (1856-1894) AND ELIZABETH ANN BAILDON. STEPSON OF MATTHEW AND ELIZABETH ANN BAILDON, OF 3 CHARLES WARTON HOSPITAL, MINSTERMOOR GATE, BEVERLEY, 145 KELDGATE, AND 116 LANGATE, BEVERLEY, YORKS (WAR PENSION ADDRESSES). HE LIVED AT 6 LORNE TERRACE, ALEXANDRA STREET, HULL.

HE ENLISTED IN THE 12TH PRINCE OF WALES OWN (WEST YORKSHIRE) REGIMENT. SERVED IN THE BALKANS. ARRIVED IN FRANCE, ON 21/09/1915. KILLED ON THE SOMME, ON 14/07/1916, AGED 25.  HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.

HIS NAME IS ALSO RECORDED ON THE HULL TECHNICAL COLLEGE ROLL OF HONOUR, PARK STREET, HULL.

HE LEFT BROTHERS, BENJAMIN, CHARLES, HERBERT, ARCHIBALD, AND KATE.
