Enlisted at Manchester. Served in the Royal Engineers, 202nd Field Company. Killed on the Somme, on 08/07/1916, Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.
His army effects were left to his widow, Bertha. She was awarded a weekly war pension of 25 Shillings, on 22/1/1917.
