PROMOTED SERGEANT, ON 04/06/1915. ARRIVED FRANCE ON 08/03/1916. KILLED AT SERRE, ON 13/11/1916, AGED 24. UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE RETURNED TO HIS FATHER. HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE HULL TECHNICAL COLLEGE MEMORIAL.
