Baggley, Robert

Born Hull, 1884. Son of Richard (1937-1910) and Selina Baggley (1842-1906). He had two brothers and four sisters. He worked as a General labourer.

Husband of Lilian of 5, Cedar Grove, Eastbourne Street, Hull (1911 Census) and 29, Marlborough Terrace, Norfolk Street, Beverley Road, Hull (War Pension address).

Served as a Lance Corporal in the 18th & 7th Highland Light Infantry. Died after discharge, of bronchial pneumonia and gangrene of the Lung, on 02/11/1919.

His army effects were left to his widow. Lilian. There are no CWGC records.

His brother, Third Hand, Jesse Baggley was lost on HMT “Eros”, on 8th June 1918, aged 36.
