BORN SOUTHAMPTON 15/06/1885. SON OF JAMES HAROLD JOHN BELLENIE (1859-1949) AND ANNIE SARAH BULL (1859-1936), 50 FANSHAW STREET, SOUTHAMPTON. HIS MOTHER ANNIE SARAH (BULL) BELLENIE, LIVED AT 1 ALEXANDRA TERRACE, DE LA POLE AVENUE, HULL (HULL DAILY MAIL ADDRESS). A FISHERMAN. HE MARRIED AT HULL IN 1904, AGED 17. HIS WIFE WAS LILY SUSANNAH BOON (1885-1968). THEY HAD A SON CALLED, JAMES.

HE SERVED AS PRIVATE, 413,  “A” COMPANY, 13TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. WOUNDED BY SHRAPNEL RIGHT BUTTOCK ON 13/11/1916. TRANSFERRED AS PRIVATE, 45123, TO 2ND SOUTH WALES BORDERERS, (D COMPANY). CAPTURED AT  MASNIERES, ON 03/12/1917. HELD PRISONER AT MINDEN. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED AS 03/12/1917, IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL. DISCHAREGED FROM THE ARMY ON 04/03/1919. HE DIED IN CORNWALL, IN 1969.
