Blanchard, William

Born Louth, Lincs 1897. Son of Maxey William & Fanny Jane Blanchard lived at 40 Ryde Street. (CWGC Adress). He enlisted in Northampton. Served in the 5th Northampton Regiment. Killed in action, on 21/02/1916, aged 19. A single man. His army effects were left to his mother, Fanny Jane. Buried in France. His grave inscription, reads, “FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH”
His name was recorded on the Ryde Street Roll of Honour (HDM 19/09/19)16).
