BORN HULL 1894. ONLY SON OF MR ZACHARIA CHARLES & MRS ZILAH BLYTH, OF 46 BEVERLEY ROAD, HULL. HE HAD THREE SISTERS, HILDA, VIOLET, AND DORA, ENLISTED HULL. SERVED WITH THE 1/5TH NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. DIED OF WOUNDS ON 22/04/1917, AGED 23. HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE HYMERS COLLEGE MEMORIAL.

HE IS BURIED AT WARLINCOURT HALTE BRITISH CEMETERY, SAULTY, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “IN THE MIDST OF LIFE WE ARE IN DEATH”.

HE LEFT £111, TO HIS FATHER, A SURGEON DENTIST.

HIS DEATH AND ADDRESS WERE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 27/04/1917.
