BORN HULL 1883. SON OF PAUL & ELEANOR BORELAND, OF SWINE, EAST RIDING. BROTHERS HENRY, GEORGE & JAMES BORELAND AT 5 PROVIDENCE TERRACE, WALKER STREET, HUL (1891 CENSUS). CHARLES BORELAND SANK WITH HMS ‘QUEEN MARY’ AT THE BATTLE OF JUTLAND. HE IS REMEMBERED ON ST JAMES CHURCH MEMORIAL, ELLERBY, EAST YORKSHIRE. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH ON 9TH JUNE 1916. *

HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE SWINE CHURCH ROLL OF HONOUR.
HIS BROTHER PTE, GEORGE BORELAND, EYR WAS REPORTED WOUNDED IN HOSPITAL AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH.
