He enlisted at Hull, on 27/03/1915. Served as a Driver, in the 32nd Hull Divisional Ammunition, Column, Royal Field Artillery and the 4th & 21st Reserve Battery.
Served in France, for 2 years and 123 days, between 30/12/1915 to 01/05/1918.
Discharged with Myalgia, on 21/11/1918. He had a history of Pneumonia, exposed to the climate – he was “shaky, debilitated, with a fast heart beat.”
Awarded the Silver War Badge (No: B43797). He died at Hull, on 24/07/1919, aged 32.
