BORN HULL 22/12/1888. HUSBAND OF AMY BOYLE, AT 3 BONFIELD TERRACE, WALCOTT STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). SON OF JOHN WILLIAM BOYLE (1862-1935) & SARAH ANN SUDDABY (1863-1928), OF GILLETT STREET, HULL. HE WAS LOST AT SEA, ON 28/02/1916, AGED 27

HIS NAME IS RECORDED AS KILLED ON THE GILLETT STREET ROLL OF HONOUR (Hull Daily Mail 30 August 1916).

The British Navy trawler HMT Angelus was sunk on 28th February 1916 by a mine from the German submarine UC-6 (Matthias Graf von Schmettow), off Dover. 2 of the crew were killed.
