BORN BEVERLEY, 1897. ONLY SON OF KATE BRADY, OF BURGESS YARD, BEVERLEY. ELDEST OF THREE CHILDREN.  HIS MOTHER WAS FROM DUBLIN, IRELAND AND A WIDOWED CHAR WOMAN. HE WORKED AS AN APPRENTICE BRICKLAYER (1911 CENSUS). HE ENLISTED IN BEVERLEY. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 2330 YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED AS LANCE CORPORAL, 1/4TH YORK AND LANCASTER REGIMENT. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 10/10/1917. COMMEMORATED AT TYNE COT CEMETERY, BELGIUM.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER CATHERINE, AND SISTERS, ANNIE AND EVELYN.

HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE BEVERLEY’S WW1 MEMORIAL, MEMORIAL GARDENS.
