Bramhall, John

Born Sheffield, 1885. Son of John Bramhall (1852-1910) and Martha Hirst (1852-1913), of 15, Penistone Road, Sheffield (1911 census). He worked as a Grinder Labourer before WW1

Married at Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, in 1916. Husband of Elizabeth Wood Bramhall of Mirfield, Yorkshire and 33, Porter Street, Hull (War Pension address).

Enlisted on 25/11/1905. Served overseas, in the 3rd/2nd York & lancaster Regiment. Discharged on 19/10/1917, aged 32. Awarded the Silver War Badge (No: 274195). Died at Huddersfield, on 13/04/1921, aged 35.

His elder brother, Private, Walter Bramhall, 4064, York & lancaster Regiment, was killed at Hill 10, Gallipoli, on 11 Dec 1915, aged 38.
