BORN HULL 1898. ENLISTED HULL. SON OF WILLIAM & ANNE BRETT, OF 14 VICTORIA STREET, HESSLE. HE WAS EMPLOYED BY MR GOOD, OF GILBERT STREET, HESSLE ROAD., HULL. HIS SISTER MRS BEATRICE WILSON, LIVED AT 12 HAWTHORN TERRACE, WALCOTT STREET, HULL.

ALBERT ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED IN THE 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, AT FRICOURT, ON 01/01/1916, AGED 18. HE IS BURIED ON THE SOMME. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY, MAIL, ON 09/08/1916. *

HIS OLDER BROTHER WILLIAM BRETT, 11TH EYR WAS KILLED IN ACTION ON 26/05/1916, AGED 20. BOTH WERE UNMARRIED. THEIR ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO THEIR SISTER, BEATRICE WILSON.
