BORN HULL 1882 SON OF JOB BRICKLEBANK (1858-1939) & MARY JANE DOUGLAS (1854-1924), OF 7, CLIFTON STREET, HULL. ONE OF NINE CHILDREN. HIS FATHER WAS A COOPER.

HE MARRIED MARIA RANEY, IN HULL, IN 1911. THEY LIVED AT 9, FRANCIS TERRACE, RODNEY STREET HULL, WHERE HE WORKED AS A RAILWAY SHUNTER (1911 CENSUS) AND 8, MAYFIELD VILLAS, ROSEMEAD STREET, NEW BRIDGE ROAD, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE SERVED AS A SAPPER, IN THE ROYAL ENGINEER’S RAILWAY DIVISION. HE DIED ON 11/03/1920, AND IS BURIED AT HULL’S HEDON ROAD CEMETERY. HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE WALKER STREET WAR MEMORIAL, HULL.
HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, MARIA BRICKLEBANK. HE ALSO LEFT HER £210 IN HIS WILL AT 8 MAYFIELD VILLAS, ROSMEAD STREET, HULL (PROBATE ADDRESS). SHE LATER EMIGRATED TO ALBERTA, CANADA.
