ENLISTED HULL. SERVED AS A HORSE DRIVER, WITH THE ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. ARRIVED IN FRANCE, ON 31/08/1915. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 21/10/1918, AGED 21. HE IS BURIED AT HIGHLAND CEMETERY, LE CATEAU, NORD, FRANCE.

UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS PARENTS. HE LEFT SISTER, MARY JANE, AND BROTHERS, JAMES WILLIAM AND CHARLES H. BROWN.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 30/10/1918.
