SERVED AS A GUNNER, IN THE ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 04/04/1917, AGED 20. BURIED AT ECOIVRES MILITARY CEMETERY, MONT-ST. ELOI, FRANCE. UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, JOHN WILLIAM.
HE WAS ONE OF TWO MEN LOST FROM WARNE IN WW1 & HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE SUTTON VILLAGE MEMORIAL. *
