BORN HORNSEA 1899. ONLY CHILD OF TOM RICHMOND BUCKTROUT AND MRS EDITH MARY WHITING (1871-1957), OF 13 LINNAEUS STREET, HULL, AND 19, VICTORIA AVENUE, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HIS MOTHER RAN A BOARDING HOUSE AT 13, LINNAEUS STREET, HULL. HE WAS EDUCATED AT BRAMPTON HOUSE SCHOOL, HORNSEA.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 41317, 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 23/04/1918, AGED 19. HE IS BURIED AT LILLE SOUTHERN CEMETERY, NORD, FRANCE.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, EDITH, WHO LATER MOVED TO 22 WESTWELL ROAD, STREATHAM, S W LONDON. SHE PUT AN ADVERTISEMENT IN THE PAPER REQUESTING MORE INFORMATION ON HIM.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 31/05/1918. HIS NAME IS ALSO LISTED ON ST MATTHEWS CHURCH, WAR MEMORIAL, BOULEVARD, HULL.
