Budge, James Louis

Born Hull, 1886. Son of James Page, at 45, Salthouse Lane, Hull (1911 Census).

Husband of Beatrice Ellen Page at 3, Promenade Place, Vane Street, Hull (War Pension address). They had two children, Barbara and James Lee Budge. He worked as a Compositor and Printer. he was a Member of the United Ancient Order of Druids (A life Assurance Society). Worked for John H. Holdsworth, in Bradford.

Enlisted in Hull Hull, on 09/02/1915. Trained in Withernsea. Served in the the 10th EYR (Hull Commercials), in Egypt and France. Wounded at the Somme on 06/07/1916 and on 29/03/1918. Transferred to the 3rd EYR. He had received shell wounds to the head, and gun shot wounds to right shoulder and arm (30% disabled). Discharged, on 26/02/1919. Died at Hull, on 23/04/1920, aged 34.
