Born Northamptonshire, 1878. Son of William Bull (1842-1905) and Elizabeth Huffer (1845-1884). He had four brothers and two sisters.
Married at Lincoln on 29/8/1901. Husband of Charlotte Augusta Wray of 23, Mon Rose Road, Lincoln (1911 Census) and 625, Spring Bank West, Hull (War Pension Address). They had two sons, Arthur Joseph and John William Bull. He worked as a Grocer/Fruitier. Described as 5 foot, 9.5 inches tall, 37-40 inch chest.
Served as a Gunner in the 295th Siege battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. called up 16/9/16. Posted to France on 30/3/17. Returned to Birmingham Hospital, England on 4/12/1917. Transferred to the 42nd Anti Aircraft battery, Durham. Discharged 30/1/1919. Died on 05/05/1923, aged 45.
