BORN HULL 1896. SON OF THOMAS WILLIAM BULL & ELIZA LOUISA BULL, OF 48 , WALLIKER STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). HE HAD FOUR BROTHERS AND FOUR SISTERS.

HE WAS UNMARRIED. WORKED AS A CRANE LAD, ON HULL DOCKS, FOR THE NORTH EASTERN RAILWAYS. HIS ARMY RECORDS DESCRIBE HIM AS 5 FOOT, 2.5 INCHES TALL, 34-36 INCH CHEST, CHURCH OF ENGLAND RELIGION.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL ON 25/05/1913. SERVED WITH THE 1/4TH EYR. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 01/01/1917. TRANSFERRED TO THE 13TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, “D” COMPANY, ON 25/01/1917. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 14/05/1917, AGED 21

HE LEFT SWEETHEART MAGGIE. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 7TH SEPTEMBER 1917.

HE IS LISTED ON NORTH EASTERN RAILWAYS ROLL OF HONOUR AND THE ST JOHN THE BAPTIST MEMORIAL, NEWINGTON, HULL.
