Born Scarborough, 1887. Son of Catherine and Francis Bullock, of Hull and Grimsby. He resided in Hull and Grimsby. Husband of Lily Holmes of 41, Woodhouse Street, Hedon Road, Hull & 5, Poplar Street, Chapman Street, Hull (War Pension addresses). She was Guardian of his child.
He was a Professional Soldier, before war began (1911 Census), serving with the 17th Lancers.
He enlisted in Hull. Served in the Household Cavalry and Cavalry of the Line, as a Shoeing Smith, in the 17th Lancers (Duke of Cambridge’s Own). He was killed in action, on 26/03/1918, aged 31. He is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial, France.
His brother, Arthur Bullock, served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
