HE ENLISTED IN THE ROYAL MARINE LIGHT INFANTRY, SERVED IN THE PORTSMOUTH BATTALION. WOUNDED AT GALLIPOLI. DIED IN ALEXANDRIA, ON 13/05/1915, AGED 23. BURIED IN EGYPT.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED AS KILLED ON THE LIVERPOOL STREET ROLL OF HONOUR (Hull Daily Mail 30 August 1916)
