Carling, Fred

Born Hull 1895. Son of John and Ellen carling, of 25, Lime street, Hull. He worked as a Labourer and lived at 12 Leam Terrace, Leeds (1911 Census).

He enlisted in Hull. Formerly of the West Yorkshire Regiment. He transferred to the 5th Border Regiment. Killed in action, on 23/04/1917, aged 23.

He is commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France. He left £130 in his will, to his sister, Edith Carling at 3, Husler Street, Buslingthorpe Lane, Leeds.
