Carrington, Arthur

Born Hull 1893. Son of Robert Carrington (1868-1933) and Charlotte Chadwick (1869-1917), of 7 Sovereign Place William Street, Hull.

His widow, Emma Ayer, lived at 41, Boulevard, Hull and 613 Spring Bank West, Hull (War pension Addresses). He worked as a Baker.

He enlisted in Hull. Served as Driver, 2036, in the 251st Royal Field Artillery. Killed in action, by a shell, on 16/09/1916. He left his unmarried wife, Emma Ayer, at 41 South Boulevard, Hull (Pension Ledger Address). She later moved to 613 Spring Bank West, Hull.

His death was reported in the Hull daily Mail, on 25/09/1916. *

There is no CWGC record of his death even though a weekly war pension of 10 Shillings, was paid?
