BORN HULL 1890. SON OF BRIAN CATTLE ABOVE. A REGULAR ARMY SOLDIER WHO SERVED IN INDIA. HE DIED OF WOUNDS ON 10/10/1916, AGED 26 ON THE SOMME. HE LEFT SISTERS JENNY, ANNIE & ARTHUR, AND IN LAW WILF. UNMARRIED. HIS WILL WAS LEFT TO HIS SISTER JENNY.
HE IS RECORDED AS KILLED ON HULL’S, NEW GEORGE STREET ROLL OF HONOUR (Hull Daily Mail 03 November 1917).

HE IS BURIED AT BERNAFAY WOOD BRITISH CEMETERY, MONTAUBAN, SOMME, FRANCE.
