Chambers, Arthur William

Born Marfleet, Hull, 1894. Son of Frederick Chambers, of 68, Marlborough Terrace, Norfolk Street, Hull (Army address). Son of a Blacksmith. He had three brothers and five sisters. Employed as a labourer.

Enlisted at Hull, on 28/01/1913. Described as 5 foot, 9 inches tall, dark complexion, hazel eyes, brown hair, Church of England religion.

Posted to France, on 11/11/1914. Served as Sergeant, 71505, 11th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. Awarded Silver Wound Badge (no: 365338). Died of dementia, due to active service, on 14/05/1918, aged 24.
