BORN HULL 31/08/1898. SON OF FREDERICK, OF 30, LOCKWOOD STREET, HULL. ONE OF ELEVEN CHILDREN. HE LIVED WITH THIS SISTER AT 23, WEST STREET, HULL AND BROTHER, FREDERICK CHAMBERS AT 40, DURHAM STREET, HOLDERNESS ROAD, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). A FORMER MILKMAN FOR ISSAC TAYLOR, OF HULL.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL, AGED 19. JOINED AS PRIVATE, 38130, EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED AS PRIVATE, 38130, TO THE 2/4TH KINGS OWN YORKSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY. HE DIED IN GERMANY ON 06/10/1918, AGED 19. HE IS BURIED IN BELGIUM AT THE MONS (BERGEN) COMMUNAL CEMETERY.
HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, FREDERICK.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 16/04/1919 & 03/10/1919. THIS WAS HIS 1918 ABSENT MILITARY VOTERS ADDRESS.

HIS BROTHER WAS DISCHARGED FROM THE ARMY WITH SHELL SHOCK. ANOTHER BROTHER WAS A SAILOR.
