HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 19/08/1901, JOINING THE 2ND BATTALION, COLDSTREAM GUARDS. HE ARRIVED FRANCE, WITH THE BRITISH EXPEDITIONARY FORCE, ON 12/08/1914. KILLED IN ACTION AT RENTAL, BELGIUM, ON 05/11/1914, AGED 34. BURIED IN RENTAL WOOD AND LATER SANCTUARY WOOD CEMETERY, BELGIUM.
HE MARRIED AT ST SAVIOUR’S CHURCH, HULL, ON 10/06/1906. HIS WIFE ELIZABETH PRITCHARD AND THEIR FOUR CHILDREN, LIVED AT 4 CHAPMAN STREET, HULL, AND 7 POPLAR AVENUE, POPLAR STREET, HULL AND 87 , COURTNEY STREET, HULL (HDM address 18/11/1914) *
