HE ENLISTED IN HULL, IN SEPT 1914. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 203999, 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE BATTALION. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 04/10/1917 AT PASSCHENDAELE, AGED 19.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON THE 18TH AND 20TH OCTOBER 1917, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. *. AND THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 09/11/1917 & 03/10/1918.

HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, JOHN THOMAS CLARK, 318094, LABOUR CORPS, DIED OF PNEUMONIA, ON 18/03/1919.
