BORN YORK 1879. SON OF WILLIAM CLIFTON. WIFE HILDA (JEWISON) LIVED AT THIS CWGC ADDRESS. THIRD HAND. PRESUMED DROWNED 30/09/1915, AGED 36.
Built as the fishing trawler VUTURE (H470) for St. Andrews Steam Fishing Co., Hull.
In August vessel Rqd by The Royal Navy as a mine-sweeper No. FY 310 renamed VULTURE II. On 16/03/1918 the VULTURE II sunk following a collision with a wreck in Loch Eriboll.
