HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS LANCE SERGEANT, WITH THE 6TH YORKSHIRE HUSSARS. DISCHARGED AS DISABLED ON 10/05/1919. AWARDED SILVER BADGE (NO: B193611). DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 06/05/1920, AGED 21. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, MARY.
HE IS BURIED AT HULL’S HEDON ROAD CEMETERY. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “AT REST WITH MOTHER”
