Cooke, Edward Laister

BORN HULL 01/08/1896. SON OF WILLIAM SARAH ELLEN COOKE, 41 BELMONT ROAD, FLEETWOOD, LANCASHIRE.
On October 27th, 1918, the British steam trawler NEPTUNIAN (H626), built in 1913 by Cochrane & Sons Shipbuilders Ltd. and owned at the time of her loss by East Riding Steam & Fish, and based at Larne, sank and was lost after a collision 5 miles off Altacarry Lighthouse, Rathin Island, following a collision with the HM trawler LORD LISTER (FY1568).
Eight survivors were picked up by the LORD LISTER and landed at Londonderry.
