BORN HULL 1897. SON OF EDWARD CHARLES COOPER & SARAH ANN COOPER, OF 49 SPRING BANK. HIS FATHER WAS A PHOTOGRAPHER. HE WAS COMMISIONED INTO THE 18TH MIDDLESEX REGIMENT. ACCIDENTALLY KILLED, ON 22/04/1918, AGED 21. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 08/05/1918. HE LEFT £255 IN HIS WILL TO HIS FATHER AT THIS PROBATE ADDRESS. A SINGLE MAN. HE ALSO LEFT SIBLINGS, GLADYS AND STANLEY. HE IS BURIED AT GENTELLES COMMUNAL CEMETERY, SOMME, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “A BEAUTIFUL BOY LOVED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM”.
