Coulson, James Henry

BORN HULL 06/03/1892. SON OF THOMAS AND ANNIE COULSON, OF 13 COTTINGHAM TERRACE, CHARLES STREET, HULL. HE HAD TWO OLDER SISTERS, ALICE AND RACHEL. SON OF A DOCKER. HE WORKED AS A GENERAL LABOURER.

HE MARRIED VIOLET WILES, IN HULL , IN 1912. THEY LIVED AT 15 LOUISA TERRACE, ST PAULS STREET, HULL( CWGC ADDRESS) & 7, SIGNY TERRACE, WATERLOO STRETT, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). THEY HAD TWO CHILDREN.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS CORPORAL, 3/5142, 2ND EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. HE DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 01/10/1915, AGED 23.
HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON. 21/10/1915. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO VIOLET JARVIS (FORMERLY COULSON)
BURIED AT VERMELLES BRITISH CEMETERY, PAS DE CALAIS, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “EVER IN THOUGHTS FROM HIS LOVING WIFE & TWO CHILDREN”.
