BORN HULL 28/07/1890. WIFE ETHEL (HILL) & DAUGHTER ABOVE. SON OF THE LATE JOHN & ELIZABETH COULSON -12 WOOLSEY GROVE, STAMFORD PLACE, HULL. THE ONLY BROTHER OF MRS G A NEWTON, 12 WOLSELEY TERRACE, SOUTH PARADE. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 7TH & 14TH FEBRUARY 1917 WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. *
JACAMAR was an Admiralty hired trawler (No 1207), built in 1911 of 293 grt and Grimsby registered as GY-649. Armed with a 12pdr, JACAMAR was in service since May 1915 as a minesweeper, until she was sunk On January 28, 1917 in a collision off the Folkestone Lightvessel. There were 5 casualties.
