BORN BROOMFLEET, YORKSHIRE 1899. SON OF GEORGE RANDELL COULTISH AND MINNIE COULTISH, OF BROOMFLEET LANDING, NEWPORT, BROUGH. SON OF A BRICKYARD LABOURER. BROTHER OF FRED , ALBERT AND EMILY LEIGHTON. A FARM LABOURER. HE ENLISTED BEVERLEY, ON 15/08/1917, AGED 18 YEARS AND 6 MONTHS. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 3 INCHES TALL, 122 LBS WEIGHT, 34.5 INCH CHEST. POSTED TO FRANCE ON 09/10/1917. TRANSFERRED TO THE 2/5TH WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 27/11/1917, AGED 18. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER GEORGE. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE CAMBRAI MEMORIAL, LOUVERVAL, FRANCE.
