WORKED FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BOOT COMPANY, AS A BOOT REPAIRER. HE LIVED AT 10 CLARENDON STREET, HULL. HIS FATHER WAS A MERCHANT SEAMAN AND ROYAL NAVAL RESERVIST.

CHARLES COUPE ENLISTED IN HULL. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 8184, CAMBRIDGESHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED AS PRIVATE, 205168, QUEENS OWN (ROYAL WEST KENT) REGIMENT. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 20/09/1917, AGED 22. A SINGLE MAN. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, ALBERT.
HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE TYNE COT MEMORIAL, BELGIUM.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 07/08/1918. *
