Creaser, George William

Born Bridlington 12/08/1892. Son of John William Creaser (1872-1929) and the late Mary Alice Fidler (1873-1903), of 9, May Villa, Haddon Street, Hull, England; Worked with his cousin in Scarborough as a Butcher’s assistant. Emigrated to Canada, where he worked as a butcher. Married Theresa Runham in 1916. Husband of Theresa White (formerly Creaser), of 212, 13th Avenue North East, Calgary, Alberta. He enlisted in Alberta, on 12/02/1915, aged 22 years and 6 months. Described as 5 foot, 6.inches tall, 35.5 inch chest, grey eyes, brown hair, Church of England religion. Served with the 10th Alberta Regiment, Canadian Expeditionary Force. Died of pneumonia on 05/10/1918, aged 26. Buried at Calgary Union cemetery, Canada.
