Born 1890. His unofficial wife Lily Sigsworth (1890-1969), lived at 11, Wicker Terrace, Wassand Street, Hessle Road, Hull (War pension address). he left his army effects to her.
He enlisted in Hull. Served with the 1/4th EYR. Posted to France, on 17/04/1915. Killed at Ypres, on 29/04/1915. He is commemorated on the Ypres Menin Gate Memorial.
