HE ENLISTED IN THE HULL PALS. TRANSFERRED AS PRIVATE, 1173, 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 09/04/1917, AGED 30. HE IS BURIED AT COJEUL BRITISH CEMETERY, ST. MARTIN-SUR-COJEUL , PAS DE CALAIS, FRANCE.
