Born Lincoln, 1893. Son of Ellen Maria Dann, of 4, Saplin Street, Manningham, Bradford, and the late Alfred Dann. He lived with his sister Constance, at 23 Westbourne Place, Bradford Road and worked as a box maker (1911 Census). He moved to Hull and lived with his brother Dudley, at 6, Boynton Street, Hull
He enlisted in Hull. Served with the 7th East Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action of the 13/05/1917, aged 24. Commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France.
His army effects were left to his sisters, Miss Constance and Nora Dann, at 4, Saplin Street, Bradford (War Pension address).
His brother, Dudley Dann was lost at sea on the the SS “Dido” on 26/02/1916, aged 21.
