Born Hull, 1896. Son of Daniel Davies (1858-1927) and Maria Lucy Davies (1864-1918), of 38, Prince of Wales Avenue, Reading, Berkshire. Son of a Royal Navy Pensioner. He had one sister, Doris.
he enlisted at Reading. Served with 6th Bn. Royal Berkshire Regiment. Twice wounded. Killed in action, on 19/07/1916, aged 19. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial to the missing on the Somme.
Unmarried. His army effects were left to his father, Daniel.
